The 9.6 version of PLS_Toolbox and Solo will be released in August, 2026. A 0.1 increment in the version number sounds small, but we’ve packed it with many new methods and improvements. Join us on Thursday, September 3 when we present “EVRI-thing You Need to Know About PLS_Toolbox and Solo 9.6.” We’ll go over all of the major new features including:
• Improved workflow for Diviner, our semi-automated machine learning tool for calibration model development
• Tools for using ensemble models for more robust predictions
• Lean chemometrics tools including IOT (Iterative Optimization Technology and IIOT (Extended IOT)
• Volume fraction preprocessing for improved calibration model performance
• Tighter integration with Python to improve speed and stability
• Solo now built with MATLAB 2024b to improve performance and compatibility with newer operating systems
• Many, many more smaller features and improvements
In the coming weeks we’ll be presenting a series of webinars that take deeper dives into the new features with a focus on use cases and “how to” in spectroscopy and other. A schedule with links to the individual webinars is provided below.
Eigenvector President Barry M. Wise will lead the tour of what’s new in 9.6 and will be joined by the development team including Eigenvector Vice-president Neal B. Gallagher, Bob Roginski, Manny Palacios, Lyle Lawrence and Nate Watson.
